Kidventure Starts - Sep 13

As we head into a new school year we’re excited about what is also happening with the children and youth here at Prairie!  Children and Youth are such an important part of our community! On Sundays, they start out in the worships service with their families and then head to their own groups.

Nursery - For babies and toddlers 0-3 we have a dedicated space for parents or caregivers to take their little ones if they need a quiet space or a place to run around and play. The nursery, right off the main hallway, is where parents or caregivers can stay with their children while the service takes place. Right now we don’t offer a drop off service but we’re looking for volunteers so, if they choose, little ones can be dropped off and parents/caregivers can return to the service. We’d love to see this turn into a place where babies and toddlers can play, do simple crafts, and hear a Bible story every Sunday with volunteers from the congregation.

Kidventure - For kids ages four to grade six, Kidventure is the place for them! After being dismissed from the service, the kids meet in the Kidventure room next to the bathrooms in the back foyer where they have their own time of songs, games, Bible learning, and crafts. Kidventure begins with a large group time and then divides into smaller groups based on age for a good connection time with leaders and each other.

Youth - For youth grade seven and up we have small group time planned for Sunday mornings during the service. After the teens are dismissed from the service they meet in the Prairie office with a leader for a quick game, Bible learning, and a good discussion time.

Volunteer with Children and Youth Ministries

We are still looking for volunteers to fill any and all of these roles with children and youth. If you are willing to help out once or twice a month with the nursery, as a helper leader in Kidventure, or as a discussion leader for youth please connect with our children’s ministry coordinator, Corrie. We’d love to have you!
