Music at Prairie
Music is one of the key areas of life at Prairie. It helps connect us as we gather, worship, and stay rooted in God—not only on Sunday mornings but throughout the week. Music brings our community together in every season of church life. It reflects the beauty of God’s creation, the truth of Scripture, and the teachings of Jesus, and it reminds us of our calling as Christians.
Prairie’s musical life includes a worship band made up of volunteers who offer their time, skill, and creativity. We’re grateful for the mix of experienced musicians and newer members who simply love praising God through music. Together they form a collaborative team marked by respect, deep listening, and joy — a steady part of Prairie’s worship. The band contributes through weekly leadership, rehearsals, reflective musical offerings, alongside additional musical opportunities like seasonal choir and childrens music.
Music ministry and the congregation serve one another. The music invites people of all ages and backgrounds to participate, helping Prairie feel welcoming, connected, and grounded in worship.
There are many ways to be involved in music: singing, playing an instrument, helping with sound, joining for special services or planning. Whether you’re a seasoned musician or simply curious, there’s room to explore your gifts. Participation is supported, questions are welcome, and every contribution helps shape the worshipping life of our church.
