Throughout Lent, Prairie has focussed on the cross of Christ and this comes to its culmination during Holy Week and then the celebration of Easter.
You are invited to participate in Holy Week in the following ways…. (scroll down for worship service times)
Holy Week Short Daily Prayer
Each day, you will find a short meditative video below, posted at 7:00am.
You may want to have your own candle to light and extinguish as part of your prayer practice this Holy Week.
Each day…
A candle is lit as a reminder of the presence of Christ.
As the candle goes out, remember the cross where the light of Christ was extinguished… and await the dawn of Easter day.
After the candle goes out, take as long as you like in silent prayer.
Palm Sunday Worship Service - 10am, Sunday March 24th. In Person and Online
Join this celebration as we wave Palm branches and sing Hosanna. This begins our Holy Week focus, “Journey to the Cross”
Communion Worship Service - 7:30pm Wednesday March 27th. In Person Only.
At this candlelight communion service, we remember the Last Supper of Jesus and his disciples, and reflect on the journey ahead that Christ took.
Good Friday Worship Service - 10am Friday March 29th. In Person and Online
We meditate on the cross once again as we focus on the last words of Christ.
Easter Sunday Service - 10am Sunday March 31st. In Person and Online
This day we celebrate the bewildering joy of resurrection. With renewed hope, we share communion again as a celebration of new life.
